What is the best phone to use for Skype?
I am currently using the Skype software to make free calls with other Skype users in Asia. I am currently using the Clearsky TRENDnet bluetooth wireless phone, which I can only use within a certain area from my laptop.
I would like to find a phone (whether a cellphone, or wi-fi phone) that allows me to use Skype anywhere in the world, with same speed as on PC.
The only problem I have noticed with Wi-Fi phones is that if there is no wi-fi available in the area…I still have to plug into my laptop to use…is this correct? =[
I’ve also noticed that cell phones with so called internet browser are very slow, and impossible to download a software, much less use it seamlessly. However, the iphone interests me…but I do not know if it (unlocked iphone) can be used in Asia?
Are there ANY phones that can do it all?
Any help would be great! As I really need one for upcoming trip.

there are a few phones that you connect to the internet modem and you use it as if it were a regular cordless phone.
there are also some that use wifi and kind of look like a cell phone and you can use it werever there is wifi

i bet you can find way better prices but those are just some that ive tried and i like
for the wifi phone if there is no wifi connection but your laptop is connected to the internet you can connect it to your computer via ad-hoc network and share the internet from you laptop
